i don't know a lot about shurmer but I didn't get excited about his prospect anyway. Its not like I look at the Vikings as a model of offensive excellence.

When I read how much people love Wilks it reminds me of Arians. He wasn't the number 1 coaching choice; but you would read he had a ton of respect. I am team Wilks

I know some here will be bummed & pissed we didn’t get him based off it appeared he was the leading guy on the board.

Personally I think this is working out fabulous for Big Red! Outside of 1 season (Kelly ducks offense) his offenses haven’t been anything special. Sure he helped elevate 2 average QBs to career years, but again does the Vikes offense scare anyone? I say no.

He also failed in Cleveland as HC terriblly regardless of the talent the did/didnt have. He might turn out to be great but his history says it’s not likely.

Everyone hear wants an Oline & has for years. I can almost guarantee that if Munchak is hired we will likely have a very good one! It will help the teams best player & make them more dangerous if we get that QB everyone has long waiting for.

This is great news imo.

I dont really have a favorite as none of the candidates are mind blowing.
Munchak is a very vanilla hire though. But maybe basic blue collar can do some good around the redbirds clubhouse.
I just dont want Bettcher, if BA is gone he needs to be gone and IMO Betch is never going to be respected as the boss if he brings in coordinators that he used to work for

I am only bummed because it appears the next option may be Munchak, who is basically a more inept version of the same hire.

According to who? Again I’m not happy or sad. This name was just ok to me, but I’d be lying if I said I know much about any of the guys they interviewed.

What makes you believe Munchak is a favorite? Seriously I have heard damn near every name as a favorite or finalist. Does anymore really know what MB is thinking ??

We are all talking about Munchak or Wilks what about John DeFilippo? The Cards did interview him. He could be a sleeper.

Are the Cards targeting someone who is still in the playoffs. Otherwise why the wait even if it is in house (yuck). Is this one of those once again moments where the Cards (SKMB) believe they know something the rest of the league doesn't?

Munchak and Wilks are out of playoffs. Should never discount any candidate because the Browns fired them. They fire them all. That is their problem.

Because MB said he wanted these guys to come in and see if they fit with not only him and SK but the other leaders in the org. Again there really isn’t a reason to rush. I would like it to be sooner than later, but there is no reason to make a quick decision because these other teams have made their move.

If I’m not mistaken our last hire was more successful than the rest of the lot, but this is off the top of my head without looking.

You could argue that Andi Ried did better, but again, he has a worse win ratio than BA and didn't win in the playoffs or see tha AFC Championship at all... So yeah, you have an argument there and, with all due respect, hiring a coach you want for at least 5 years better 20 years, take your time and see who the guy is.
