Jmo but let's not get ahead of ourselves the kid is a nice prospect still but that's about it. In his 2 seasons he threw for no more then 14 TDs each season and a very average 3200 yards... He's a game manager at best who throws 5-10 yard passes with regularity. He is a total captain check down... All that being said with AP another year older and still no guaranteed "playmakers" at WR I'm not sure they would do much better then last year... His greatest asset is he doesn't take many risks and has few turnovers.

Sucks for him the Vikings and his development.. But I really don't think they will be much of a downturn to Shaun Hill personally.
Let's not get it twisted: Minny is a better team with Teddy B under center. I think he could've made the turn to become a better than average QB this season.

That said, Minny was, and still is, a poor man's 2015 Broncos team. It will win games by keeping opponents at 14-15ppg, control clock with the running game, and make just enough throws to keep opponents honest. As long as Hill doesn't take too many chances, Minny will still contend for a Wild Card berth.

Stanton to Vikings for a 6th, flip that 6th to Chargers for Bercovici.

Boom, everybody wins.
Don't think the Chargers would do it

The team is at three quarterbacks between Philip Rivers, Kellen Clemens and undrafted rookie Mike Bercovici. Bercovici, the clear No. 3, is practice-squad eligible; however, in order to join the practice squad, San Diego first would need to waive him, thereby risking that another team claim him onto its 53-man roster. Although Bercovici still is raw in many respects, it's possible — perhaps, even likely — the Chargers won't run that risk.

Bercovici, 23, has been a quick study in meeting rooms and on the practice field.

He also represents needed youth to develop behind Rivers, 34, and Clemens, 33.
Bercovici is scheduled for significant playing time Thursday in the Chargers' final exhibition game against the 49ers.

I don't know if this would work, but if I am BA, I am requiring ALL players to wear knee braces in every practice and every preseason game. If they think it hurts them in meaningful games, fine, take them off. But as long as there is no need for a competitive advantage over an opponent, every single knee is getting supported from now on.

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned Peyton Manning.

A friend who lives there said it's been discussed in the Minnesota media but that the general feeling is Peyton is done.

Crazy to think that this could be a career ending injury with him being so young. Guess you take it for granted anticipating that it is a surgery and they will come back a year or so later. Hope he has a successful surgery and is able to come back

If the dislocation had damaged an artery, he could have easily lost the leg. That was a real possibility, apparently. By immobilizing him, they prevented further damage to nerves and arteries. It had to be excruciating for him. My hat is off to the training staff that did everything like they had been trained to do in a very unusual circumstance.

They're saying if not for the quick actions of the Vikings medical staff he could have actually lost part of his leg.

an upgrade on Stanton. Which would be anybody.

Ryan Lindley is avaliable, so is Max Hall.

Wonder why they have not been brought in, then.

Edit: Just realized I am included in "anybody". I will sign for the vet minimum, too. Didin't know I had some potential. .......better than Drew Stanton, wow, what a day to be alive, cannot wait to get some game action.
