It seemed like the Packers got away with more than a little holding in the first three quarters.

I think we're going to get a lot of nationally televised games next season. Almost certainly Seattle and New England games here, and maybe also the Carolina road game.

I have no idea what has happened to Ellington. I expected regression, but nothing this bad.

I would hope the Cardinals put together a video of the all the holds GB got away with and send it to the NFL. I can't remember when I last saw so many obvious holds, some with the ref looking right at it.

Betcher is a controversial choice because the cards red zone defense prevented a loss.

How we went from eight sacks in the last game to one (correct?) in this game has to be his responsibility though.

Personally, I might have gone with another DB, like Johnson or even my boy Jefferson.

The packers WR core was like, wow. One step above arena football league guys... and yet they were still running open. Some of that is credit to Rogers, but some of it is our Ss being out of position.

I kept asking for him to come in and then we he did, he was awful.

Hopefully he bounces back next week we're going to need him against that defense.

He is a 6th round pick... Seems to me he's playing about equal to his draft status...

Clete's crew calls the fewest holds in the NFL. They were assigned in accordance with the NFL script.

True to a point but some of his crew was probably still with him for this game. I doubt only he was an all star and the rest of his crew was crap.

So how many of his crew were officiating our game and how many of them were at the ref positions where they are responsible for Oline holding calls?

Agree with the Hero's but disagree that Bettcher should be a goat. The Packers had the Oline basically back for this game and Rodgers is most likely the best QB in the NFL.

Watching the game felt like death by a thousand cuts because of the bend don't break D Scheme but as was written they only gave up 20 pts and 7 of those were against P2 who was a Hero.

It wouldn't shock me. He might have thought he was on pace for a big contract and now looks like he will need to work to get an extension when it comes up.

Good write up. Not taking anything away from Rogers but I felt the Cards defense was outcoached most of the game. When Cobb went out GB was forced to use 2nd/3rd string players and it seemed they switched tactics by going the short passing game and we had difficulty adjusting.

GB put up 20.... but they may not have if BA had not over ruled Betch on the prevent there at the end...

credit Betch for giving up 13......... NOT Goat worthy

Ellington will be replaced in the draft...... he is not durable and has now lost his effectiveness due to a lack of "want to"...... he will be playing elsewhere next season if things do not change quickly for him.
I was concerned that he lined up in the backfield instead of the slot....he may have been more effective in the slot.

these defenses that remain cannot be stretched...too fast....AE need not line up in the backfield again in the playoffs

7 snaps(!). He had zero snaps on special teams. Andre, if you want to keep your job in 2016, maybe consider learning to play special teams.

That's the point. 7 snaps is not enough to consider ineffective. I was actually calling for him to be used more, since he seemed quicker to the hole. GB is a pretty fast defensive team.
Being underused is not the same as being ineffective. It was only a couple of years ago that people were calling Larry Fitz over the hill and ineffective. But the truth is he was being underutilized.

He was given three carries and a pass target on those seven snaps — it's not like he was brought in to block. He managed 5 yards on those three carries and completely failed to stay engaged on his target — he didn't even turn his head around.

The other problem is how long can you put Ellington on the field before you worry that he's going to get injured. He's constantly injured even though he's never used.

Too much trouble. Larry Fitzgerald was one of the best players in football for an extended period before we thought we were seeing a drop-off. Ellington was pretty good for a handful of games. Today he's had far more injured/bad games than good ones.
