Was curious if anyone know how Dansby did on his first day as a Brown?

He had 1 tackle, but I didn't watch the game so I have no idea how many plays he was in for.

Can't wait to see how he does, which I hope isn't much, when the season starts.

He will probably post similar numbers to his days in Miami.

Should we really care how Dansby does?

I don't. Dansby is like a crappy girlfriend. Every time she comes back and you're starting to feel good again, she packs her things and leaves for somebody with more money.

Why? Dansby played in a difference conference than the Arizona Cardinals do. If anything, you should be hoping that Dansby and the Browns play good football--against the Steelers in their division, and against the NFC South, where at least one other team (either the Falcons or Bucs, IMO) will challenge for a Wild Card spot.

Dansby was a great player while he was here. The only reason he left--and he never talked bad about the organization when he did--was because some other team wanted him more than we did.

i watched a little of the Lions game. He played like... well... he always does. Completely sniffed out one screen pass and was in perfect position to go for the pick when the fullback dragged him down, drawing an offensive pass interference penalty.

eh... who cares at this point?

He played GREAT for us while he was here and someone else valued him more then we did so he left. not sure why people wish ill will on the guy who's made more big plays for this franchise then almost any other player on D in the last decade.

Just wish he was still here. I know its water under the bridge but hate to see him doing well on another team. I don't wish ill will on him, I just don't want to to match or better his stats that he had here over there. :D

I like Los. I hope he does well. He's never made any effort to hide that he's a mercenary and he is most important to himself. However, he NEVER played like that. He always gave supreme effort, inspired others and left every ounce of himself on the field.

Yes, he chases the money...but he is a guy that is a thrill to watch and beloved by teammates and fans. He's 100% loyal to whomever is paying the bills that season, and unless someone else wants to pay him more, he'll continue that way. I admire the heck out of the guy.

Do I wish he were still on our team? Hell yes I do. He's one of my favorite all time Cardinals.

that's pretty much the best account of who Dansby is and always has been.

Good stuff. I'll admit to throwing a hissy fit when he left for the Browns because I REALLY wanted him to be a Card. I think he's made enough money and should be wanting to be on a SB contender but there is no lock the Cards will get to the SB before the Browns.

Hopefully Los with his huge contract will help us get a 3rd rd compensatory pick.
