OT: Jacksonville Jaguars Unveiling New Uniforms - 04/23/2013

For those of you who care about such things, the Jaguars are unveiling new uniforms (to go along with their already-unveiled-new-logos) today at 1:30 EDT.

The "teasers" that have been revealed have been "interesting" to say the least. These things have the potential to be true clown suits.

Expect craziness, and if we're hearing is true - a two-toned, gradient effect on the helmet shells.

The other two teams with new primary marks for the 2013 season - the Dolphins and Vikings - will unveil their new unis on Thursday. The Vikings look like they're going more traditional, while the Dolphins are going more simple, but still modern.

• The helmet will be two-toned, starting out as gold in the front and then "fading" into black on the back.
• The helmet will also have an oversized logo, possibly similar to what Boise State has on their helmets.
• The uniforms will be based on military uniforms and will have the players names on the front just below the Jaguars patch on the chest.
• The sleeves will have a pattern that includes four different colors, including black, chrome, teal, and gold.

Rumor is the NBA has had "talks" of doing that..

not as bad as the speculation

really don't like the helmet - maybe it will look different out on the field ..... I like that the jaguar kind of pops a little bit more on them, but the extreme color switch just doesn't play well for me

I think their fonts are fine, I like the front "jags" patch and that should work well on other merch

will be interesting to see how the accent sleeves look on fan jerseys .... I imagine white will be a standard .... does anyone know if the teal or black will be the other primary jersey?

could live without the accent stripe over the shoulders .... but not as bad as the neck roll that a lot of team adopted

Black at home, White for road games...Teal as an alternate jersey.

What's unfortunate (or fortunate depending on your point-of-view) is that some photographer took pictures back stage at the event, and posted pics of the new Dolphins and Vikings uniforms.

Why they were there on display two days before their big unveiling, I have no idea...

Jags uni's are fine, though I'm still sick of all black. Teal jerseys look good. The gold helmet would be better w/o the black fade.

As for the Vikes and Dolphins, nothing really exciting design-wise. Vikes went back to the previous style w/ stripes on the sleeves.

Dolphins.. blah, but at least they weren't these.

Anything looks better than the Hawks all blue on the new unis IMO! The others are ok but that all blue is atrocious
