We all know you hate Skelton, but give the guy a chance. He is not as bad as you make him out to be.Kolb will probably be gone 5-8 games with an injury like that.
We're toast fellas!

Skelton did go to Fordham but he is a dunce on the football field. His decision making is horrendous at times and too often to be successful in the NFL.
That said I picked him over Kolb in preseason. Hope he gets it together.
Feel bad for Kolb.
that was my opinion as well headed into the season. Then Skelton became the fragile one in game 1. Kolb took MUCH more of a beating, and lasted much longer. Sacked TWENTY-SEVEN times. He held up pretty damn well IMO. Skelton has already missed about 5 games this year. We'll see if he can survive the duration of Kolb's injury nowI think Kolb has played OK this year. Not great. Not bad. Whether you like the guy or not, there's no denying that he gets hurt a lot. I know our OL sucks, but the fact of the matter is that we're about to lose him for another long stretch. This, more than anything, in my opinion, is why he is not the long-term answer for us at Quarterback. Don't confuse this post as implying that he's weak, scared, or gutless. I don't think any of those things. He's just injury prone.
I thought so too. In the 1st quarter vs SEA as well. But the 2nd quarter and when he came in vs BUF, he looked pitifulWow all that because Powell ran the wrong way.
Skelton showed last year he could play well enough for us to win but we're heading into the tougher part of the schedule now.
Also really concerned about Rhodes injury.
The erroneous impression given to those who may not have not reviewed the play was that WiPo ran the wrong way & either botched the handoff or caused Kolb to run directly into Sack City.Wow all that because Powell ran the wrong way.

What I saw on tape was that Kevin - having realized that Powell blew the assignment - decided to roll to his right, hoping he could eke out out a 3yard gain & a first down. In doing so, he was tackled from behind, fell on the ball and then was piled on by two defenders.
So, while it would be fair to say that Powell's error set forth the chain of events that caused Kolb's injury, it was an indirect cause. In the past, Kevin had been known to get injured after taking off on his own. This was just a continuation of that pattern.
As for Wi Po - chalk it up to unintended consequences and a bitter lesson-learned.
Well yeah Kevin could have just gone down and maybe not gotten hit I just meant as you said if Powell does the right thing it's a handoff and Kevin doesn't get hit.
I also think we're lucky he didn't get hurt on the play before he got drilled from the side on that long run. I almost half wondered if he was still hurting from that on the next play and it was the combination of the two that kept him down.
I hope Skeltons' nearly 100%, I sure don't want to see Lindley at this point in the season.
seriously. Russ Grimm would give everybody on the O-line a good luck charm made of kryptoniteWe're on pace to have 5.3 injured QB's this year. Superman would puncture a lung behind this line.

Neither is Kolb.Don't hate him, just don't think he's even remotely the answer
