I feel really happy for Shane Doan. Can't believe I'm watching this. I also am glad for the Coyote fans who have posted on this forum for all these years, like coyoteshockeyfan, MigratingOsprey, krepitch, wilycoyote24, puckhead, ArizonaSportsFan. After all these years of posting and being disappointed at the end, we can now enjoy a playoff series victory. Let's hope the ride continues.

Because I have been fiercely loyal to this team, because I was there in 1999 when we blew a 3-1 lead, because I have gone to the fights in Glendale, and because this,team is one of the best underdog stories in sports in recent memory... I get that it is only the first round and there is more to come, but for me, at this moment, it trails Gonzo's hit, and fitz' catch but it is still one of the greatest moments of my sportslife, because I know,how hard it has been to get to this point..

I get that and I'm as excited as anyone else, and have been w/ this team since they moved here.
But, what I was trying to get at is that this team is better than the first round of the playoffs. If they can get by Nashville watch out.

A lot of things are very similar to the Cards' run to the Super Bowl and I think the Coyotes really have something going for them.

Look at who is left in the West; STL, Yotes, Nash and LA. When is the last time any of those teams were made it to the finals?
LA vs Montreal in 93...
