Does anyone else feel like they dreamed the game last night or got drunk and imagined it? Or are angry at yourself for being so excited for a SECOND round trip? Against a team that plays equally ugly hockey as the Yotes and will almost certainly guarantee the most boring series of all time, objectively speaking?

One man's boring is another's suspense! I love good defensive hockey that capitalizes on mistakes.

And yes, it does feel like a dream. I'm gliding around the office today! :fans:

I always thought a sports franchise reflected the soul of the city it represented.

I think it is so funny that when football teams capitalize on strong D and bounding the opponent into submission, it is called "blue collar". Typically, this style is personified by blue collar cities likes Pittsburgh, Detroit, and Chicago.

But in hockey, the blue collar style is considered "boring" by those same cities.

Awesome win and I was pumped that they were able to pull it off. Very happy for Doan, very happy for the entire FO and the team that has had to stay focused through some very unreal circumstances.

I'm also very happy for Mike Smith. Just a great story and like so many hockey players he simply goes about his business and handles himself the right way.

While merely escaping the 1st round may not seem like that big of a deal, for this franchise it's been a friggen albatross ....... it's something that is lost when discussing their current issues ........ that this is a franchise that went 25 years without winning a playoff series, had never won one in their current home, was frequently in the cellar, initially played in a building where way too many seats couldn't see one of the goals, had an entire season cancelled right as they moved into the new building, had owners more concerned with their other business ventures than running a team ......... and all this was before having the bankruptcy, league ownership and in another odd twist their best run as a franchise

All things considered it's monumental

Nashville is legit. St. Louis is legit. LA is tough and so is Phoenix.

They deserve to be there and I'm pumped that they are.

I feel really happy for Shane Doan. Can't believe I'm watching this. I also am glad for the Coyote fans who have posted on this forum for all these years, like coyoteshockeyfan, MigratingOsprey, krepitch, wilycoyote24, puckhead, ArizonaSportsFan. After all these years of posting and being disappointed at the end, we can now enjoy a playoff series victory. Let's hope the ride continues.

However, I can't really accept this accolade.

I'm a sharks fan and have been since I saw one of their first games of their existance a solid 20 years ago.

However, the coyotes are a firm #2 and I genuinely pull for them and wish them success. I also firm believe in this marketplace and hope that Jamison can get his bid through and get this worked out. I've seen what that guy can do.

Also, I tend to have a stubborn streak in me so this past 3 years has made me want to see the coyotes succeed more than ever if for nothing more than to thumb the eyes of those who go out of their way to take cheapshots at them.

My wife has adopted the team and if they actually made kids stuff I wouldn't hesitate to get some for my kids ....... although since they are 2 & 1 there really isn't much out there - although we use the coyotes backpack cooler for our daughter that was a giveaway this year

Also in a great note, I received a text this morning of a photo of the printed tickets for game 2 ........ i mentioned to my wife last night how I'd love to find a way to go to a game and she surprised me this morning ... which is completely awesome

At this point I can think of few things that would make me more pumped up than to see the stanley cup hoisted in the desert

The team shop has 2T or 3T jerseys and some shirts, and i think onesies.. Don't remember off hand, but I thought the jersey might be a little warm during the summer.

However, Just Sports has 2T t-shirts and I got my daughter one. She's almost 2.

You have to go to the store as the site doesn't list anything. They also have a cool all white jersey w/ black trim/logo that's good for the whiteout.

I don't know about attention span, but as for the noise you could get some of the infant ear protection. I've seen a number of kids at Cards games with them.

I want a Stanley Cup t-shirt. :D

The team shop actually has a grey t-shirt w/ the cup in the background with "Coyotes" and the logo in foreground.

Not a championship shirt, but a cup shirt non the less
