I saw everybody else did one of these and thought I'd give it a shot. I probably screwed up some of the backups because I'm a relatively new Arizonian. Any feedback is appreciated.
TRADES
Fitz to the Pats for 17 and 28
Why for the Pats: They got exposed by the Jets. The Jets sent the house against Brady and not only got to him, but when they didn't get to him they screwed up his sight lines, a danger of having all your recievers being under 6 feet. Fitz gives Brady a reliable option and a huge target that is always open if a QB can put the ball in the right spot. Brady can put the ball in the right spot.
Pick #5 to the Vikings for picks 12,43, and 136
Why for the Vikings: By moving up they leapfrog Washington to get first pick of all the teams that need QBs. With Favre gone and Tavaris Jackson still sucking they need to right the ship and appease the fans. As a Packer fan, I'm praying they pick Locker.
Pick 136 to the Packers for Nick Barnett.
Why for the Pack. Barnett is no longer needed and his contract is too big for a backup. He also is starting twitter beefs with Aaron Rodgers and the organization. Pack are looking to move him and Ted Thompson loves his late round picks. Hopefully he pulls in another James Starks.

THE DRAFT
12: Justin Houston. I know the Von Miller hype train is in full effect but he reminds me too much of Aaron Curry. I know that's a bad example but Curry had the same combination of speed and aggresiveness that Miller does. They play completely different positions in completely different defenses, I'm aware. At this point I'm just a hater and will gladly label myself as such. I like Houston and pick 43 over Miller.
17: Gabe Carimi. Day one starter at RT. Instantly improves the running game, and is good enough in pass protection that I'm not worried about any LE's or LOLBs killing (insert QB's name here)
28: Castonzo. He'll be an abover average LT his first day in the league. He won't test out as well which will cause him to fall to 28. I'm taking him and whistling my way to the bank.
38. Phil Taylor. Man's a beast. If the rumors are true that he can also be a 5 technique I will laugh hysterically at every GM that didn't take him.
43. Titus Young. With Fitz gone, (Insert QB's name here) is going to need someone to throw to. Titus Young has been the best performing reciever in the draft for a while. He doesn't have the elite size that Baldwin, Jones and Green do, but that's why he'll end up in the 2nd round. Great returner on ST.
69 John Moffit. Starter at C or G the first day he steps onto the field. Showed excellent skills at UW and in the Senior Bowl. This team is going to be able to run the ball.
102 Demarcus Van Dyke. I'll say it, our corners kind of suck. DCR is decent and has potential to be a probowler but we've got nothing outside of him. Van Dyke isn't Patrick Peterson but he's not awful.
133 Greg Little. Another WR with the same attributes as Young. Giving a new QB options to throw to, especially options that excell at running routes for short passes is huge.
166. Greg McElroy. He's a game manager. He's a smart and accurate kid who avoids making mistakes and can facilitate an offense. He's not Tom Brady, he's not Aaron Rodgers, but if this team can run the ball and play stingy defense, he's good enough. Maybe the coaching staff can do something with him.
180. Devon Torrence. A CB out of tOSU. He was pretty good in college. Hopefully he can play some nickel or dime depending on what he shows. Maybe he turns into a Tramon Williams or Sam Shields. He's got good size for the position, and he's excellent against the run.
Undrafted FA's to look at for the Practice Squad:
Byron Isom a Guard from Auburn. He was an instrumental part of the Zone Read that made Newton look so good. He's infinitely better than Ziemba.
Clint Boling a Tackle from Georgia. He performed extremely well in a brutal confrence.
Ricky Henry a Guard from Nebraska. Powerful run blocker. I like him a lot.
Greg Lloyd a MLB from Uconn. A solid MLB, jack of all trades master of none type.
Weslye Saunders a TE from SC. Big guy, good blocker and a big target for (insert name of QB here)
FA Targets
QB: Seneca Wallace, Caleb Haine or Matt Hasselback.
Neither are perfect, or even good, but we could do worse. Hasselback has been okay when he's had talent around him.
Wallace is another game manager type who although doesn't have a great arm is accurate enough and makes plays with his legs.
Haine was probably playing out of his mind, but it doesn't hurt anything to throw him a small contract and take a look at him during camp.
RB: I like the Beanie Hightower backfield.
FB: Vonta Leach, FB from the Texans
WR: The loser of the Vincent Jackson, Malcom Floyd battle, or James Jones
Jones would have probably been a probowler this year if he didn't drop so many balls.
Jackson/Floyd: are both clearly proven targets that would make (insert QB's name here) happy
OL:1 of-
Carl Nicks (New Orleans-G) Getting a pro bowl lineman who's experience the rigors of an NFL season would be huge for the young O-Line, not to mention his obviously excellent on field production. Only hope of getting him is that New Orleans is trying to sign the rest of their O-Line and we overpay enough to steal him.
Logan Mankins (New England-G) He's been excellent for New England and though his production has fallen off some, he's still a great Guard. Maybe Bellicheck decides to part ways for some reason??
Davin Joseph (Tampa Bay-G) Excellent run blocker, good pass blocker, he broke his foot and missed a part of the season which might make him easier to get, instead of having to overpay something ridiculous for the other two guys.
DL: I like our D-Line especially if Taylor can play some 5 technique
LB: Chad Greenway or Ben Leber. Leber was a very good MLB for the Queens and Greenway had a probowl season at OLB in the 4-3. I think Greenway is good enough to make the transition to a 3-4 MLB.
CBs: Nnamdi Asomugha or Ben Grimes. Wouldn't touch Champ Bailey or Antonio Cromarte with a 40 foot pole
Both are pipe dreams, but scrabble could probably be convinced by overpaying like crazy.
Grimes is a hopeless cause.
Wow, I'm a huge geek for doing all that research.
Anyway the depth chart would be
QB (3): FA /McElroy/Skeley
RB (3): Beanie/Hightower/Stephens-Howling
WR (5): Breaston, Young, Little, Doucet, FA
TE (2): Spach, Patrick
FB (1): Maui'a, Reagan
OL (8): Castonzo/Levi Brown/Moffit/FA/Carimi
2nd String: Faneca, Lutui, Jeremy Bridges
DL (6): Taylor/Dumpster Dan/Dockett
2nd String: Cambell, Branch, Gabe Watson
LB (8): OB Schofield/Nick Barnett/FA/Justin Houston
2nd String: Washington/Sharp/Lennon/Clark
CB (6): DCR/Van Dyke/FA
2nd String: Toller/Adams/Torrence
S(4): Wilson/Rhodes
2nd String: Ware/Johnson
P/K/LS (3): Ghram/Feeley/Leach
51 players. BAM!!!!
That's a team that's stacked with young talent and the rookies make it damn cheap to. I most likely screwed up the backups so let your imagination fix that part. I probably messed something up but let me know and I'll fix it.
