According to ESPN.com's Michael Smith.

5 years, $48 million, some $15 million guaranteed.

So there's that.

ESPN reporting 5-yr extension for McNabb in D.C.

So I guess that's one less candidate for Cards QB in 2011...not that I was excited at the possibility.

Makes no sense too after what happened last week. That ruins a major option for us....We should have went after him...Now who do we get...I say we have to get Vick but I dont see that happening...But Philly cant pay Kolb and him big money....So Vick may be expendable.

Well I would rather have Tom Dick or Harry Qbing us...So that is one major option for us gone....You want Fitz to stay we need a QB....

Wait. Last week the guy wasn't good enough to QB the 'Skins on the 2 minute drill and was replaced by Rex Fricken Grossman and now he gets extended? My guess is that Washington sees the writing on the wall that there isn't a whole lot of options available.

I am firmly on the Carson Palmer bandwagon...if Cincy cuts him loose.

the only good thing. no more McNabb topics.

well, SI threw Matt Hasselbak name. From what we saw yesterday, he is still doing it. Not along term solution though.

It's getting harder now. At least we had a hope

Good, now this forces Wiz to draft or sign a younger QB. I wasn't impressed with how McNabb has played this season.

I'm not convinced Kolb or Vick will be available, but that would be my first choice.

One of them will and ill guess it's Vick. Eagles are known for sticking with younger talent and Vick will be 31 next season. Additionally, Kolb is signed through next year and Vick is a FA.

I highly doubt Vick would sign here as the Cards have had a hard stance about signing players with serious character issues. Philosophies could change, but still.

Or another case of Snyder throwing money at the wall like wet tissue paper. Considering McNabb has completely stunk this year I think that is the most likely case.

This deal just shows we had no shot at him anyway.

This deal is way out of the Bidwill's price range. If he got a five year deal for $78 mil from a team that just benched him and called him fat and out of shape, no way would he have taken the $12-13 mil per year that the Cardinals would have offered.

They wouldn't give Warner this much and he's won a Superbowl...

The light just keeps on getting dimmer and dimmer for resurecting this laughing stock of a franchise. As bad as his teams have been over the years if he cant get a decent QB it will truely become humiliating for a long period of time. More so now than at any other time QB is essential. I think no McNabb means Whiz will eventually get canned unless he can find a college QB who is ready to play like Bradford is.

Wanna bet that Minny ends up with Kolb or Vick?

I've been hoping for Kyle Orton...but he's been playing too well for the Broncos not to renew.

Then lets go after Tavaris Jackson. Would love to have him over what we have now.
