Why did we get rid of Calvin? Everytime I see him in an Eagles game he is making his presence felt in Special teams. He has been an above average Punt Returner. That is one of the Cards Big weaknesses.

The Chargers are a joke on the road and are getting schooled by the Rams.

Marshawn Lynch brings a whole new dynamic to the Hags and they look better already.

The Rams are also a much better team at home. That's not a fluke - they are physically throwing a beat down on the Chargers. Our win there in week 1 looks like a pretty damn good one.

Agreed about Lynch and the Hawks. We're going to have our hands full next week.

That win is looking better every week.

Getting rid of Calvin a real headscratcher. Stupid really.

Scared to death of next week's game. Our D will have to be good to win this game.

Especially for Charles Scott who was a really long shot to make the roster. I just don't understand why you trade a guy you drafted just to get a camp body. Aren't there enough guys sitting at home that you can call? Of course I don't understand why you cut a guy you drafted in round 2 or 3 without ever seeing them play in a real game either.

BTW Did we ever find out what draft pick we got for Reggie Wells?

a 6th rounder from Philly.

This is how it should look.

Arizona has a #6 from Philadelphia (OG Reggie Wells)
Detroit has a #6 from Philadephia (2010 draft day trade) There orginal pick.
Philadelphia has a #6 from Tampa Bay (WR Reggie Brown)

So that means that we get the Philadelphia pick (Tampa Bay).

We get a sixth for Wells and although he wasn't great at guard I bet he could do better than Keith at tackle.

Not really a head scratcher. Whiz liked AJ Jefferson better and we were in desperate need for a FB at the time. Good call when it was made but turned out to not be a very good trade.

And that's not a head scratcher?

Scott cut, we have no punt returner & Jefferson doesn't see the field

There are 200+ colleges and Universities that play football that graduate guys every year that play FB and the Cards couldn't find anyone who wouldn't cost them a draft pick?

A strange move in a stranger season.

Actually very few colleges even have a FB on the roster. With the spread offense the fullback is a dying breed.

Most teams still have a FB. They just don't play much. Out of 200+ Schools you should be able to find at least one guy. Especially since you don't need him to do anything but run a few drills in Training Camp or run a couple of plays in the 4th quarter of 1-2 preseason games.

Heck every team in the Big X probably has at least 5 fullbacks on their roster.

#1 - Why don't we let Andre Roberts play in more than one game.

#2 - Why don't we let AJ Jefferson play IN a game before proclaiming Calvin better than Jefferson.

Finally, EVERYONE looks good on highlights.

????????????????

This is the 6th week of the season. Roberts has played in four games. Jefferson is on the practice squad in Arizona while Calvin is on the active roster in Philly. That's all we need to know.

I saw the highlights of Roberts returning punts. Remember what happened in his 1st game...2 times?

Hey Rugby I'm just giving ou a hard time but I do like Roberts as a player. The thing that concerns me is he hasn't shown the explosiveness on the NFL field he did at The Citadel. I don't no if it's the jump in competition, but he doesn't look near a fast in the NFL as he did on youtube as a PR or a WR.

Roberts has looked a little tentative. It appears that he is not sure if he is where he is supposed to be on he field.

Roberts has not been very good. But he has improved some. Give him some time.

I was at the Philly game and saw Calvin with my own eyes.... Nothing special.

The long punt return he had was perfect blocking. He ran in a straight line all the way till he went out of bounds.

The coverage went left, the wind pulled the ball right. Poor play by the Falcons IMO.

Calvin was nothing special.

Well Charlie Scott's, Suns fans should remember him, kid committed to play bball at OSU ,if that counts for anything.

Losing Colvin was no big deal. Right now he's strictly a return man and he wasn't going to take LSH's job. Most teams want their PR to do more than just return punts and Colvin was probably struggling in coverage, so he was going to be relased. The Cards probably figured there was a need at FB so why not try and ge something for a guy who was going to get cut anyway. Too bad Scott didn't wotk out but I don't think it was a horrible move.

Maybe that is all you need to know.

I am not as reactionary.

Plus, what move have you liked this year ? None ? I wouldn't be surprised.

Trading a drafted player for a guy that the Cards only intended to use as a camp body still makes no sense.

Neither does posting "Why don't we let Andre Roberts play in more than one game." when Roberts has already played in four games.
