Daryl Washington = STUD!

He is so fast and smooth! He just has that "it" factor!

Hmmmph... had to have that little shorty Marshay Green bail him out when Washington whiffed on a tackle of the Redskins TE. Marshay didn't dive at the guys feet he hit the TE in the mouth.

This may be a bit of hyperbole, but Washington reminds me a lot of what I would imgaine of AW playing LB.

That said, if Washington starts for us, would we be running a 3-3-5? :D

Honestly...my only concern with Washington at this point, save rookie mistakes, would be how well he holds up with the regular season pounding.

He's been impressive, now let's see what happens when we start playing "big boy" football.

Yes sir. He is swift as hell. On the replay of that great tackle on the edge, my wife and I were marveling at his speed...during the slightly SLOWED replay. He didn't look slowed down.

He's a bad man.

He's going to absolutely blow up a few guys when they dump it down to the flats on his side. I've seen at least two or 3 throws near the sidelines in the flats where he almost gets there before the ball does (he had one tonight as I'm sure everyone saw). He's a burner as far as LB's go, that's for damn sure.

yes Stud He is. He is so fast in coverage and thump to the ball it is exciting.

There is the question of if He can hold up physically for the NFL regular season as a 3 down LB. Come regular collisions with Frank Gore and Jackson and other NFL blockers and backs, can he hold up for the playoffs?

I mean He's got 4 full games under his belt now. it might be 23 or 24 if matt starts.

I think Skins ran a stretch play and he filled the hole, shot the gap, made the tackle...sweet. Love what I've seen so far

My guess is he will see spot duty early in the season. As someone already mentioned, he will need time to adjust to length of season and speed of NFL.

I'd be shocked at this point if he's not starting next week. Whiz can't stop talking about him.

He's even brought up the idea of starting him this early even though he doesn't like starting rookies

Anyone else notice how he was trying to get the crowd involved too? It was nice to see.

Washington doesnt bring the hitstick, but he is very fast, quick and agile for a linebacker.

I think I like him better than a former #58.

Although our linebacking core would be dirty if it went Porter, Dansby, Washington, Haggans with Lenon coming off the bench.

He was doing that the last home preseason game as well. Definitely has skills and confidence. Love watching him play.

alot

Well how many games does it take to get to 600 defensive snaps for Dwash?

man part of our defensive problems are from 50% offensive 3 and outs for 3 years under Kurt. and even the most successfull drives were 1-2 minutes. there was alot of presure on this defense.

Dwash has to hold up as a 3 down back for the NFL 16 game marathon and have something left for the playoffs. something special left.

I look for the 600 snap wall and how much punishment Dwash takes against top 5 RB's Gore and Jackson in the division as the SIL.

Dansby held up year in and year out, making him valuable. Dwash is built more like a safety with LB skills, while Dansby was built more lika a LB with
safety skills.

Dwash is right for the 3-4 we run but again, 6'2" 230 can't pound the run gaps like Hayes every down, hopefully The Dline and NT will leave less for the MLB's to clean up than years past.

But not so much this preseason, time will tell.

It could be like 40-50 game season for the D if Leinart keeps his normal 3 & out's.

No it wouldn't because Dansby and Washington play the same position and neither is built to play the SILB.
