This conspiracy is almost Nixonian in its complexity....What?? Cardinalgate???
sarcasm
I look at the difference between Matt and DA as the difference between Cutler and Orton. The Broncos chose the unflashy safe QB without a big arm and less charisma while the Bears chose the Big Armed, high risk, innaccurate charmer.
I think we see how that all worked out...
Whiz doesn't have to tank the season deliberately.
Week after week, with Anderson at the helm, there will be a team on the other side more than willing to help him with all that.
Versus the same teams not being willing to help Matty fail I suppose... Damn Whiz... what are you doing man!!!!
Warner is tons more accurate but you remember how turnover prone he was prior to Wiz, right?
Would seem to be logical to think that would happen here too.
It didn't work out. Neither team made the playoffs. And neither the Broncos or Bears are going anywhere this year either.I look at the difference between Matt and DA as the difference between Cutler and Orton. The Broncos chose the unflashy safe QB without a big arm and less charisma while the Bears chose the Big Armed, high risk, innaccurate charmer.

This isn't fantasy football -
Of course they would. But, a guy who has never completed 60% of his passes, and prone to interceptions, almost guarantees that our "D" will be gassed by mid-season.
Give us a prediction on our win-loses this year with Whiz's choice?

Whis is going to give him Gloves of Accuracy +3? Sweet!
Listen I am not DA's biggest fan but he has had success in this league and Cleveland is the Oakland of the East Coast.
It failry certain with a better infrastructure organizationally, 10X the QB coach (Wiz>>>>Mangini), better skills guys, and a better stadium to playin 8 games a year that he will be better then he was in Cleveland.
We're about to go into the season with a QB who ranked last in the NFL in QB rating for the past two years. One who was outplayed last year by a guy who is now the Broncos third string QB. I trust Whis that this will all work out in the end, but I have to think even he is somewhat sweating the short term.
Hey, hadn't thought about that but when looking back at Kurt's completion % as a Cardinal, he went:
64.5
64.3
62.3
67.1 (put on the Gloves of Accuracy)
66.1
Wow! Whiz's secret all along was the gloves!!!![]()
Anderson
09: 44.5
08: 50.2
07: 56.5
06: 56.4
Career: 52.9
It's the guy who wears the gloves!!!![]()
Right? I mean, for all of you experts out there that have now diced and sliced both Matty's and DA's numbers to death, attempting to illustrate how Matty really isn't all that bad and that CKW must be brain-dead not to see that Matty is the crystal clear, single-best choice for our team... all he now needs to do is confirm your collective thoughts and state that he is in fact, tanking the season. He is intentionally, in premeditated fashion, purposely dumping this season in the trash by playing with Matty's tender heart-strings and toying with the idea of starting Derek Anderson.
Right? I mean, isn't this what drives CKW?? And moreover, since he is merely the coach and captain of our ship, what does he really know anyway... He can't possibly have considered all of the facts and figures the professors of this board have tossed out. Why would he if he's aiming to trash the season, right?
He can't possibly have a pulse on the team dynamics... can't possibly have a feel for which guy is best suited to take charge and lead this team in a manner CKW feels is required, right?
CKW certainly isn't in a position to take note of how Matty does/or does not do the little things that often-times are unnoticed, but in many cases play a HUGE role in team success, right?
Naw.... c'mon coach! Stop with all of the agonizing nonsense! Just come out and admit it! You hate this team! You hate this franchise! You hate us fans!! And you hate Matty Leinart! Your honesty will be far greater respected than lurking in the shadows as you are!!
Hysterical.
I got news for you buddy, coaches make tons of decisions, maybe I should just pucker up and smooch Whiz's butt like you're doing?
See I've seen other NFL teams, their fans question a ton, heck people questioned Parcells and people question Bill Belichick who was fired from his job his first stint as a HC.
I don't think Whiz has suddenly become an idiot but you're saying he's above reproach in every decision he makes?
Why bother with this message board, why don't we just install a picture of Whiz's arse so we can all pucker up?
Lighten up Conrad... I certainly don't believe Whiz is perfect. He's made some mistakes as any coach will do. However, when it comes to this specific topic, where he has had 4 f'n years to evaluate Matty and STILL isn't able to trust the kid - sorry dude. I don't care what any of the "experts" on this board say, Whiz is THE man and THE authority on this topic.
Don't know if DA will pan out or not. But I do know that the head coach still can't rely on a first round, #10 overall "most NFL-ready college QB ever" pick! And that tells me all I need to know...![]()
All I'll say is that I like our chances for winning more games with Anderson than with Matty boy. Felt this way all along actually.
I like Anderson's chances of putting up more First Downs and more TD's versus Matty.
I think, given that our running game seems to be headed to its' rightful place in the cellar of the NFL, putting up points will be paramount. I believe, IMHO, that Anderson offers a better chance at putting up more points.
Additionally, and perhaps more importantly, I believe that if Whiz chooses Anderson over Matty, it's because Whiz also believes that DA represents a better chance for success versus Matt - which is really all I need to know.
Lastly, I also believe the entire team - INCLUDING THE DEFENSE (see Duckjake), will be more comfortable and confident with Anderson over Matty...

He should have made this decision earlier then; he took a hell of a long time admiring his results before flushing the toilet. At least he finally has gotten off the pot, I guess.
For the 2,597,231st time. Cbus and I were talking only about OFFENSIVE players.![]()
