Suns fans, relax. We (the Lakers) simply did what was expected...held home court and used our length.

You now have home court for two games and I expect two TOUGH games. I hope to split them and take your heart, but I could easily see going back for a game 5 tied 2-2.

But unless you were amongst those thinking a Suns sweep or a 4-1 Suns win (delusional) you probably aren't suprised at the series score right now...perhaps you are surprised at the score of the games, but that doesn't mean squat with a team like the Suns, IMO.

I have the luxury/hell of seeing the Suns more often than I wish to, and the Lakers less often than I'd like since I decided to pocket cash and not get the NBA League Pass. So I know this Suns team doesn't give a crap about the score in a game...and can come back from anything. I don't know if that extends to series score, and it does seem that amare is fragile right now, but if your bench heats up...this could get hot soon.

Until LA beats you on your home court, nothing is worth fretting yet. Dudley the doof got off tonight (Kobe decided too late to give him respect...fatal flaw Kobe has) and I'm sure Frye will be hot at home. I can easily see this go 2-2 after four. I am less heart-attack mode now, and hoping for a split, but to see the despair in some of you fans is disheartening.

Here's hoping we sweep you...I can't lie...but if you tie it up I won't be surprised in the least. I wouldn't even be shocked if you win it. Your team is scary and if they get hot, then move outta the way.

The Lakers D hasn't been good so far, however...and I hope they can turn it up because this offensive outpour can't continue. We HAVE been successful in running you off the shots you want, which is 80% of defense anyway, so it explains a bit, but you've still been able to score.

Regardless, the winner of this series MUST beat the Boston Celtics, or I will throw up in my spleen.

Peace, Phoenix Suns friends/fans

Thanks for the soothing words but I'm not feeling too confident right now. We look overmatched.

Lakers are hot. For most teams, the suns would probably have had a win...reason being, unlike the Lakers; teams would simply miss, have turnovers, make mistakes, etc. etc. The lakers, it was like every point the suns would make, the lakers would score back or hit a 3. The suns had to work for their points, the lakers....skating to the paint easily. There is no way any team can play point for point while being locked down on d from the lakers and having no d against them and them scoring at will.

Being clamped on both sides and the lakers rarely missing a shot, scoring at will is a sweeeet recipe for a championship team.

The lakers can win on a lot of fronts....these two games have demonstrated that the Lakers can speed it up also and run up the points as well.....they are multi-dimensional; slow it up, won't matter, fact is...they play better that way.

As a long time Suns fan, I am proud we beat SA. This was icing and I thought we'd do better. I have no hope for the Suns against the Lakers now. They are too good for the Suns.

The only way we may continue this series is if we play something that is remotely called defense. I don't think that will occur.

Actually, it's gone just the way I predicted it would. We get blown out in the first game, lose in a more competitive manner in the second game and then win 4 straight. Of course, I am often delusional.

At this point....make the series look respectable on paper.

I give us a .000001% chance of winning. At least win two games, please....

I mean...OKC stretched them to 6 almost 7 games

Lakers are a more talented team and they have showed it so far in this series. We have no chance against their length.
You got to tip your hat to them, they are playing great now and looks like they are going to repeat.

OKC had a large PG who could drive in and cause havoc, Ibaka who was a force in the paint, and Durant. THey played more aggressive. There is no reason why the Suns shouldn't be playing better than Utah who had no one!!

I wouldn't even be shocked if you win it.
Considering that no team has ever come back from 0-2 to win the Western conference finals, the Suns would pretty much have to make history to win this now. But I am hoping that at least we can make it more competitive.

Even with Ibaka, Gasol had some big games. I wouldnt say Ibaka is a force to be reckoned with and a game changer. Neither is Westbrook at this point in his career (soon though). Durant, yes.

I do agree about Utah. That team came into the series limping and was pretty much asking to be put out of their misery. If the Suns started putting effort into the game early and not have to make a gazillion adjustments after every timeout, we would actually win a game

It's definitely something. My wife walked into the room during that late collapse tonight, took one look at the Phoenix Suns team and said "I see dead people". She's now laughing at my prediction also.

Donald, I appreciate the sentiment, but the Suns' faith has been shattered. I can tell from their body language that a few of the players don't believe they can win. They've been overachieving to this point, but individually they are all starting to wake up from the dream. Some will play hard to the bitter end, but it's clear that Stoudemire has already given up, and Nash may not be far behind.

In reality... the sad, harsh reality.... this matchup isn't even as close as the scoring has been. Seriously...
LA is 100x better. More athletic at virtually every position. Taller. Stronger. More committed. Better coached. On paper and on the court, it's a total mismatch.

Our only hope is that Gasol, Odom and Kobe each rip up a knee... And even then, I'm not sure the games would be any closer... :bang:

Donald...nice sentiment. However, lets get down to reality. What over the last 2 games has given the indication that the Suns can win 4 of the next 5 games against the Lakers???

Sorry, alot has happened already.

The Suns' problems in this series have nothing to do with energy, focus, motivation, drive, desire, or how they've overachieved.

The very simple fact of the matter is that the Los Angeles Lakers are a better team. You can analyze it to death, but the Lakers are better and are supposed to win. I said Lakers in 7, but I obviously didn't give them enough credit.

That having been said.....GO CELTICS!!!! Hopefully I can enjoy a repeat of the 2008 finals.

It would be a shame to go out with so much negativity after this season. I hope we can get one win in Phoenix and see a bit more fire and passion from everybody.
Let's remember the sweep of San Antonio rather than that WCF.

After that, I have my fingers crossed for the Celtics.

panic button has been hit. We shall see how the next 2 games go. Channing needs to become VERY good friends with the bench.

Id rather Boston win another. Better than the super douchebags.

2010 finals are very important.

If celtics win, they can always throw it back in the lakers face that if garnett was healthy in 2009 lakers wouldn't have won that one either.
