Is that Rod Graves continues his streak of ousting marquee free agent signings before they can play in their second season with the team.

Here's some advice, Paris Lenon: Rent.

Did we have a better free agent signing this year? I wouldn't call Bryant McFadden "marquee", either, but both guys were signed and immediately became starters.

I'm sure that you can find the same "he's not a big name around the NFL, but he's experienced and a leader" article about McFadden from 15 months ago as Darren Urban wrote about Paris Lenon in February.

Johnson was always hurt and was here a few years IIRC and Hood was here for 2 years as well. I'd like to see him brought back to play the nickel right now.

Nope.

Al Johnson: 2006 - http://www.nfl.com/players/aljohnson/profile?id=JOH031383
Terrance Holt: 2007 - http://www.nfl.com/players/terrenceholt/profile?id=HOL770101 (But his NFL.com pic still has him in a Cards jersey--LOL)
Travis Laboy: 2008 - http://www.nfl.com/players/travislaboy/profile?id=LAB705651
Bryant McFadden: 2009 - http://www.nfl.com/players/bryantmcfadden/profile?id=MCF082537

I think there are one or two more...

Rod Hood was a long-term member of our team. He was on the roster for two seasons.

I would consider Kerry Rhodes a pretty decent FA signing------

The Cards may have taken 2005 off, but in 2004 there was Jeff Blake.

Man, good times.
