The biggest downer I see on this guy is that he is too light in the britches. He's young, and WILL gain weight, and if done properly, (in Lott I trust), will keep his quickness. His skill set is very similar to Dansby's, at least in coverage and side to side rushing. He is NOT the tackler that Dansby was, BUT with Watson and Williams spelling each other at NT, we will see a LOT more tackles made AT the line of scrimmage than when Robinson played our Nose. His tackling will improve with time, as will his size.

I don't forsee a lot of big holes that he has to dive into alone with our new D-line coming together.

The thing this defense has lacked over the yeras is any kind of team speed. That is starting to change with picks like DRC, Cody Brown, Will Davis, and now Washington. He's regarded as the most athletic LB in the draft. He'll add weight with age and likely won't see the field much this year anyway. Alot of people are just assuming he's KD's replacement. I'm not so sure about that. I think he may be more groomed for Clark Haggans spot. I think he'll be a very good special teams player this year, see a little time on the defense and then be a solid contributor the following year.

First off, I love this pick, the guy is 5 ILBs lighter than Sean Lee, Lott can bulk him up. Has great side to side speed, along with Hughes was the heart and soul of the TCU defense, look at his Fiesta Bowl highlights, kid was everywhere.

I however am disappointed that we had to trade a 3rd to get him, but AZ really wanted him and he wouldn't have made it to #58.
