But that's ignoring the fact that they've pretty much gutted their roster this offseason. Peppers was a huge reason (and not stopping the run) that we lost that game.

But that's ignoring the fact that they've pretty much gutted their roster this offseason. Peppers was a huge reason (and not stopping the run) that we lost that game.

Peppers was good BUT Warner was a huge reason we lost that game, that was definitely BAD Kurt. Even giving up over 200 yards rushing had he not thrown 5 INTs and fumbled the ball away we should have won that game considering we loss by less than 2 TDs.

But aside from the playoffs the Panthers for some reason have our number, who can forget losing to them at home when they had Testaverde at QB who they signed like 5 days before the game?

It all hinges on Matty and the play of our defense - both of which are way too up in the air and so, attempting to predict a 2010 record when we're only in April is futile.

If our defense can at minimum pay on par to last season (regular season, NOT the post season), and if Matty can somehow find his stride, I gotta believe we can ring up 9-10 W's. However, IMO those are two very bif "if's".

The Cards were over confident. That is what happened. That and Peppers ate Warner's lunch.

i think we are capable of 11 wins (i know, gasp, from a leading darksider!!!), but also capable of falling to 8 wins. that's a 3 game swing. pretty big as far as predictions go. but that's how unpredictable i see this season being with all the turnover. the only reason i don't extend the swing downward to 7 games is whis.

I think that the success or failure of the 2010 season falls 40% on Leinart and 60% on the defensive unit. I think they have to improve from 20th in the NFL last season to 14 or better to make up for whatever we lose from Warner's passing.
