Here is my latest Mock draft post Rhodes trade. Trading for Rhodes was a huge move that fills the void left by Rolle.
I think the Cards land a vet QB in FA. They will also land Foote and/or Porter. That will give them the freedom to lean towards the BPA in the draft.
Here is my latest Mock for the Cards:
1) Patrick Robinson - CB - Florida St
I think the Cards could use additional depth at CB and Robinson would be able to come right in and compete for time with McFadden and Toller. Robinson had a great Senior Bowl week where he showed his playmaking skills. He is very explosive and has great speed. Not to mention he is a solid tackler and isn't affraid to provide run support. DRC, Robinson, Wilson and Rhodes... now that is a solid backfield! Then throw in Toller/McFadden for nickle situations... Priceless.
2) Donald Butler - ILB - Washington
He also had a great showing at the Senior Bowl. Showed all the insticts that you want with an ILB. Could start right away filling in for Dansby.
3a) Dan LeFevour - QB - Cent Mich
A very Athletic QB who can can be very dangerous on the move. He has the ability to read the defense pre-snap and has good field vision. Is somewhat of a project as he hasn't played much under center.
3b) Eric Norwood - LB - South Carolina
A versatile LB that could provide much needed depth to several LB spots in our 3-4 Defense. He showed great quickness during Senior Bowl week. He may struggle some in coverage as he mostly played DE in college. However he did show some impressive pass rushing skills during senior bowl week.
4) Al Woods - DT - LSU
Cards need some youth at NT. Woods has the size and strenght to anchor the middle and free up the LBs.
6) Justin Walton - C - Baylor
Showed good skills at the Senior Bowl. Showed the smarts needed to play center in the NFL. Versatile enough to also play guard.
7) Michael Tepper - G/T - Cal
Tepper is somewhat of a project. The Cards will take him and try to make him a RT. He is a strong tough player who blocks aggressively. He will be this years Brandon Keith.
