Both are RFA but both could really help this team, Whitehurst was only given a 3rd round tender and IMO is better than any QB you could get in the third plus hes been able to play behind rivers and coached by one of the games best offensive minds in norv turner. Bethea is a 1st round tender and his talent goes without saying, i wouldnt mind having a go at either of these guys.

What exactly has Whitehurst done that would warrant us trading a 3rd rounder for him? as for Betha yes he is a good player but I would rather keep my 1st.

Bethea would be awesome, but I don't want to give Indy a 1st and there's no way Indy doesn't match the offer we give him. I know nothing about Whitehurst, so no comment.

What has any college player done to warrant us drafting them in the third round? Its a flawed arguement when you are talking about a third round pick, everybody raves about this kid and his ability, id rather have him then pike or Lafevour.

It's not so much what Whitehurst has done. (He's been held captive by the Chargers stuck behind Rivers and Billy Volek).Supposedly, astute football folks have delivered glowing reports on him.

Both he and Bethea would look good in a Cardinal uniform and solve 2 of 6-8 roster problems.

I am not a fan of trading for a backup QB that has zero experince playing a game. I know it sounds jerkish but I don't see why we can't get a proven backup by just signing a FA and save the draft pick.

I agree they could match but do you see a player that we can draft that will be as good as bethea already is at a position of need?

Oh really who you want Jeff Garcia, Jim Sorgi or Marc Bulger because those are the options ill say no thanks we are gonna draft a QB anyway why not take one that has already been coached up?

David Carr would be fine. Has starting experince (granted he played behind a sucky OL in Houston) Daunte Culpepper would be fine to as vet backups. If you want younger RFAs why not Tarvaris Jackson or Kellen Clemens? They both have game experince.

We could always draft a QB that has very similar skill set as Whitehurst such as Tebow, Jarret Brown, LeFevour,Zac Robinson, Daryll Clark.

What exactly is different from those players in the draft than Whitehurst other than he's been in the league and hasn't played in an actual NFL game yet?

Hate to qoute Iverson on this but "We're talking about practice man...Practice!"

Have you ever read anything or even knew who whitehurst was before i brought him up? Go listen to any NFL executive and they will tell you all about whitehurst. I cant even take you serious when you say Kellen Clemens and Culepepper better off with BSP.

Yeah I just saw them talk about him breifly saying that he's been coached by Norv Turner and he could be better blah blah blah. I researched him when he was in the draft. I can't take you seriouslly if you think we're better off with BSP. I named players that actually played in a game/started and you want somebody that would be considered to be on practice squad. Come on dude.
