Spurs get all the homecourt calls in games 1 & 2. If the Suns get an evenly officiated game they don't lose to the Spurs again.

Bong eh? That explains some things. The officials did not determine this game, only an ostrich would think that. Face it the suns couldnt beat anybody without grant hill, and I dont expect to see grant hill again this year. If grant hills offensive impact equals bruce bowens(0), the suns are done. Hill and Bell were poor defensively, and they are the suns best wing defenders, no wheels, no win. Just be glad they didnt face the hornets in the first round. Chris Paul would have made it a laugher 4 games in a row.

Good to see that most of the fans are not blaming the referees the last two games. IMO, those two games were as evenly called as possible, I really don't have any qualms over it either way.

No team lost a game on their home court yet, so there is no need to panic. It would be nice for the Suns to come out with a split, but it's not the end of the world down 0-2. The Suns played great basketball in game 1, and was screwed over by D'antoni's questionable calls in both games.

So they were in a scoring drought, what do you do? You post up Diaw? Are you freaking out of your mind? Diaw promptly went 0-4 in the period, and allowed the Spurs to blow the game wide open. So Nash was the only one who could buy a basket, what do you do? Normally you would tell him to shoot till he misses, but no! You have to run gimmicky offense based on mismatches.

The Spurs were shredding the Suns to pieces with the pick and roll, and you leave Shaq AND Stoudemire on the floor, the possible two most inept big man to defend the pick and roll. So instead of forcing the Spurs to shoot outside jumpers with a zone, you do nothing.

Trust me, as a Spurs fan, I have no doubt that the Suns would have at least won one of the two games with a more qualified coach.

We all have our opinions but if I took a poll I'm guessing 80 - 90% of us here say that the Suns got the short end of the stick from the refs in games 1 & 2.

I can't speak on the behalf of other Suns fans here, but I personally feel like game 2 was evenly officiated.

There were many reasons why the Suns lost this game, and the officiating was not one of them. Stop crying about the refs....please.

Reality is: You guys are one improbable shot away from coming home with home court advantage.

Yeah the second half lapses are a cause for concern but you guys are a lot closer than you give credit for.

i don't think that's comparable. that's like saying nfl cardinals fans. when you're known as a "lovable loser" your expectations are as high. when you've been to a couple of finals in your lifetime and lost, and have been a contender or even the favorite year-in and year-out and have your dreams and hopes dashed, i think it hurts a lot more.

it's like, if you keep tripping over your feet and falling and skinning your knees daily it hurts, but when you keep getting pushed off the second story of a building year after year the damage aggregates to a debilitating degree.

suns fans have much further to fall than do cubs fans, and fall with the same seeming frequency.

Hill's injury is very untimely & unfortunate but the fact is that despite a gimpy Hill, the SUNS had the champs beat in game 1, and in game 2 they decided to fold under pressure from the S.A. defense. It looked to me like Raja was moving ok out there. He may not be 100% but who is at this point in the season?
I have a feeling the D'Antoni apologies will continue well after he's no longer coaching this team. Amazing.

Nah the suns never lost a playoff game due to an injury, those sissies amare with microf, Bell with the calf tear, and JJ with broken face just choked, thats all. After all whats a little broken face, microfracture calf tear, sprain ankle, or strained groin when playing ball. Hill just smoked the spurs for a whopping 2.5ppg because he's an offensive stud, he wasnt injured.
