Again top 10 talent push through that stuff and still produce. It is what seperates blue chippers and just 1st round prospects.

He needs to stay in school and put his weight back down to a more natural state.

Also sounds like Campbell is more of a 4-3 DE if he needs bigger better DT's next to him to produce. And his 285 is not a natural weight for him. Shouldnt be in our plans anyways.

The guy is 6'8". What would you consider a more natural weight for him. If you saw him, he doesn't look 285. If anything he needs to pack some muscle on. Fopr all the accolades Swasey, the strength coach gets from ex U of M players, the Miami team comes off a bit skinny. I'll take speed over fat anyday. 285 on 6' 8" frame is not excessive at all.

I.e. Mario Williams 6'6" 293#

Dropping down to #16 won't make any difference because the guy that the Cards would have drafted at #9 will still be available.

:D

I know a couple of other people have said so already, but Jake, that is funny. It so typifies the Cards on draft day..Hysterical. Thanks for the laugh.

Say what! Primary? No.. A need? Yes.. Edge wont be around forever, but it is not the primary need.. CB is..

Can't keep drafting CBs without figuring out why it isn't working. System? Style? Bad decisions on personnel? NFL rules?

I haven't seen you this down on a Miami player since Devin "he'll-never-be-a-day-1-pick" Hester was in the draft. :D

That's exactly how I feel.

It's a negative to pay a guy 80 bazzillion dollars when he's never played a down in the NFL. Hurts your cap, and hurts the chemistry of your team when guys like Q get chump change compared to your unproven high draft pick.

I'm ecstatic about having a mid 1st round choice, and look forward to the day when we'll be drafting at the end of the first round.

Should be easier to sign as well.

This logic doesnt make sesne.. Since we cant draft o a good one, it isnt a primary need?

I didn't say that. I am suggesting that these may be good CBs in a bad system, or someone doesn't know how to evaluate CBs ( same guys for the last 6 years doing the evaluating ), or the pass rush and /or LB play is so bad that the CBs break down. This logic makes sense. It may not apply, but it makes sense to ask.

Or the pass rush in front of them is sub-par. When the Cards got pressure on Marc Bulger and Carson Palmer, suddenly Antral Rolle looks like Champ Bailey. Coincidence?

Really, the Cards' focus should be on a pass rusher, either through free agency or the draft. It improves multiple positions.
