Are you high? He's rated the #1 CB in the nation and slotted to go between 10-20 in the draft..

Where do people get this info from? He wont be there in the 2nd round..
Actually Gee!, I've seen Cason ranked from #1 all the way to #8 if you include underclassmen on a variety of sites. He's not the consensus top corner, let alone senior in his class.

It's still early in the game, but I think that he could be'd a good pick if he works out well. I still have questions about him that I need answered.

Fire away.. Cason has the determination to be the best he can be.. He was ranked a 2 star outta high school.. He is a self made superstar waiting to happen..

#1 CB in the nation...by who? I know he won the Thorpe award but that means squat in the draft.NFL he's rated around the 4 or 5 spot among CB's in almost all draft sites

Thats only becuase they all think he only runs a 4.55. Any draft site that has his speed as anything higher then 4.5 doesnt know squat about the guy.

We had no hope that year or the next year.. We were in the Eli sweepstakes.. No one knew Eli's pops would pull a card..

This year, we have hope for next year and to draft a superstar at 1 or 2 was out the question weeks ago..

I think your misunderstanding me. I'm saying it can be a blessing in diguise to win and be moved down in the draft.

...And only 34 players under contract

Not a big deal. 10 of those will come from our upcoming EFA and RFA group at minimum. Up to 7 more from the draft none of which we have to pay top 10 money to. Doesnt mean all will make the team but 34 players under contract isnt that big of a deal, especially when you consider that teams with more players under contract have more younger players already locked up with long term deals. Most teams nowadays when they resign their players off of PS when and injury hits they sign them to 2 year deals. Like we did with Holloway just this past week.

I have no idea what his 40 time is because there is no way to time him in a game with a stop watch watch.. But I will tell you this.. The boy is fast in a game.. The closing speed to rushing or sacking the QB when he has to is incredible.. Then the fact he sticks like glue to his receiver to the point there were multiple games the opposing QB wouldnt elook his way.. Or his PR abilities.. Cmon on man.. These must be eastcoast bias or never seen the lowely Wilcats play as sites that dont rank him #1..

Not sure yet. Malcom Jenkins still has to decare plus I have only seen him play once this year. But from the buzz and talk from draft sites that I tend to trust the most he is probably the best one.

I think Cason is much faster then people give him credit for. You dont return punts and have the most INT return yards in the nation becuase you are slow. He averages over 35 yards an INT return. If we run a more zone scheme then I like Cason over Mike Jenkins. Cason is just a super smart player that knows where to be, when to switch off in zone, when to let a guy go becuase he see's, and great comminucator in zone coverage. Best zone coverage CB in the nation without question.

But if we are going to run a more man scheme then I think I pick Mike Jenkins who has more acceleration then speed, which means he can make up for mistakes in man to man coverage.

:notworthy: We play a bunch of zone coverage. A bunch. Because of that, I really think that Cason would be a better pick, but there may be better value available.

Picking late in this draft is going to make it harder for people to fall in love with certain players. Personally, OL, DB, OLB, DE and HB are all priorities.

Your secondary is only as good as your pressure on the QB. Think of how well our defense played before Berry went down. And Bert was not getting alot of sacks. We need a PASS RUSHER!!! Bad!!!

That's exactly how I feel.

It's a negative to pay a guy 80 bazzillion dollars when he's never played a down in the NFL. Hurts your cap, and hurts the chemistry of your team when guys like Q get chump change compared to your unproven high draft pick.

I'm ecstatic about having a mid 1st round choice, and look forward to the day when we'll be drafting at the end of the first round.

IM all for a DE and CB in 1 and 2 then all OL and FB's in the rest.

Im not happy having Okeafor, Berry, Pace, or anyone else we have had at DE.

Dropping down to #16 won't make any difference because the guy that the Cards would have drafted at #9 will still be available.
