I got there 30 min. before the game... My cousin had to go to the gym and it's a long drive from my house so there was no time to tailgate.

Just made chili using dried guajillo peppers that I toasted on the stove, made into a salsa with roasted tomatillos, garlic and onions. So good!
Glad it didn't ruin it when I scorched the bottom of the pan.

@schutd You'll be happy to know that your chili recipe above continues to win awards. I used it about 10 years ago to win a cookoff with 10 entries, and I shared your recipe to another board (Sundevilsource) - the guy just won another chili cookoff vs. 11 other entries:My church was having a chili cook-off, and I decided to enter. I HATE chili...so disgusting...and it's too damn spicy for me anyway. I thought it would be HILARIOUS if I could win a chili cook-off under those conditions.
So, I enlisted the help of a fellow Demonian & asked schutd if he'd collaborate with me on a recipe. schutd came through with a fantastic chili recipe...and...well....
I WON! I took first place for "People's Choice" and I took 2nd place with the judges. I have a trophy--that's all I care about.
So, with schutd's blessing, I give you:
schutd's Award Winning Chili Recipe!!!
I will be making this for the game Sunday, as well as bringing hot dogs...

Been cooking for 22 years now. I still make less than I did when I worked for IBM all those years ago. Ahh, the glamour of restaurant ownership.
That said, its awesome that recipe is still floating around out there!!!
