Led by young talents, Borussia Dortmund defeated Premier League champions Arsenal 3-2 in a pre-season friendly match on Sunday.
The 18-year-olds Samuele Inacio and Konstantinos Karetsas gave Dortmund a 2-0 lead before the break, and 19-year-old Joane Gadou added a third in the 58th.
Both Gadou and Karetsas were signed during the summer break.
Arsenal goals were scored by Ethan Nwaneri in the 54th and Viktor Gyökeres in the 69th.
After returning from a week-long trip to Japan a week ago, Dortmund didn't travel to London with their entire first-team squad.
In addition to defenders Emre Can and Nico Schlotterbeck, and midfielder Mussa Kaba, who are currently in rehab, goalkeeper Gregor Kobel and defender Julian Ryerson were also absent after returning from vacation.
Defender Waldemar Anton (burden control) and goalkeeper Diant Ramaj (individual training) also opted not to make the trip to England.
Dortmund have a friendly match against Roma at home next Saturday before the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup against Bayern Munich on August 22. A week later, they kick off the new Bundesliga season against SV Hamburg.
