Apr. 14—MONTICELLO — There's no better time than the present for the fresh faces on the Bemidji High School boys golf team to make their presence known.

The Lumberjacks, featuring five underclassmen, took third place at the Monticello invite, finishing with a team score of 321. It was just five strokes off of a tie for first place with Buffalo.

Freshman Beckett Grand scored a team-low 77 to pace BHS. The lone senior in the lineup, Weston Seitz, carded a 79, good enough for second-best on the team.

Jackson Fogelson, Conrad Foss, Graham Fish and Logan Brink each made their varsity debuts on Monday. Gofelson, a seventh grader, scored an 82. Foss, a sophomore, came in with an 83, while Fish, also a sophomore, scored an 85. Brink, an eighth-grader, carded an 87.
