Major League Baseball announced the rosters for this year's All-Star Futures Game on Wednesday.

Included is a highly regarded pitching prospect from the New York Yankees.

Right-hander Carlos Lagrange was selected for the game, which takes place on July 12 at Citizens Bank Park.

Lagrange is ranked as New York's No. 4 prospect on MLB Pipeline. Usually a starting pitcher, the Yankees are getting him work as a reliever at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Standing 6-foot-7, Lagrange's fastball can routinely reach over 100 mph. He combats the hard stuff with a wipeout slider.

In 18 games this season, including 11 starts, the Dominican Republic native has a 4.55 ERA with 83 strikeouts compared to 33 walks in 63.1 innings.

Shortstop George Lombard Jr. is also included on the roster from the Yankees, but he has two sprained fingers and may not participate in the game.

Lombard is the No. 20 overall prospect on MLB Pipeline's top 100 list.

Both players could make an impact in the Majors as soon as this season.

The Yankees could certainly use help in the bullpen, which makes Lagrange a strong candidate for a call-up.
