Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Xavi Simons has reportedly been urging Manchester City attacker Savinho to move to Spurs since his failed move last summer.

The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium club held talks to sign the ‘unstoppable’ Brazilian last year but a deal did not work out.

The Lilywhites retain interest in Savinho, and Xavi has been in his ear for months.


They both played together at Eredivisie club PSV Eindhoven and a reunion could be on the cards in the coming weeks.


Tottenham have been in talks to sign the Man City star, and a deal could be agreed soon.

Spurs manager Roberto De Zerbi needs quality attackers if the Lilywhites are to challenge for European qualification next season.

Savinho will bring fresh impetus to the Tottenham attack and they could do with his skillset as they look to improve their fortunes on the pitch going forward.

De Zerbi wants to bolster his attack, and he also has Fiorentina striker Moise Kean on his summer transfer wish list.

Paris Saint-Germain striker Goncalo Ramos has also been offered to the club and key squad changes could be on the cards.


Tottenham should be challenging for the major trophies and their woeful campaign this term is a wake-up call.

They have to get plenty of things right this summer and adding Savinho to their squad will be a good place to start.

The talented Brazilian could not play regularly under Pep Guardiola but has a chance to establish himself as an undisputed starter at Spurs.

He has what it takes to become one of the best wingers in the World, and it appears De Zerbi is confident of getting the best out of him and turning him into a finished article.
