The Wyndham Championship marks the last payday on the PGA Tour before the FedEx Cup playoffs ratchet things up a notch.
Cameron Young is highly unlikely to repeat his title at Sedgefield Country Club. If he does somehow jump the entire field for a hefty prize, it still wouldn't be enough to move him up from second on the money list for the season. He will still get a split of the $20 million prize for finishing in the top 10 of the FedEx Cup standings after the regular season.
That's the start of the PGA Tour breaking into its $100 million purse that will be spread throughout its three-week postseason, culminating with a $10 million prize awaiting the winner of the Tour Championship.
