HIGHLIGHTS​

• A legend came out of nowhere to add himself to one of WrestleMania's most anticipated matches.
• The hottest free agent on the roster finally landed a WrestleMania spot, but fans may not be thrilled.
• A pipe bomb took aim at more than just the opponent.

Just when you think the last few details are already confirmed for WrestleMania 42, we get a new episode of Raw or SmackDown that gives us a bit more. On Monday night in Houston, CM Punk dropped another pipe bomb, Stephanie Vaquer struck back, LA Knight finally found a spot, and a legend joined the Intercontinental Championship ladder match. Here's everything that happened in H-Town and how it affects WrestleMania 42.

What Did CM Punk Say?​

The new thing appears to be taking shots at TKO and the folks who are believed to be taking the pens out of Triple H's hand when it comes to storytelling. Cody Rhodes took his shots on SmackDown and now it was Punk's turn. He lit into Pat McAfee, Roman Reigns and others.

Reigns was not in the building. Punk addressed an empty arena and made it feel like a packed house was hanging on every word. The pipe bomb format never misses when Punk is the one delivering it.

What New Matches Were Added?​

Knight's spot is confirmed, but it doesn't seem to be on par with what fans want for him. Mysterio's involvement had to have happened last minute. Many believe he was supposed to be in an angle that might have led to another retirement match with Gunther. WWE pivoted, but yet Rey is still involved.

Adam Pearce made the 6-Man Tag official: Knight and the Usos vs. Logan Paul, Austin Theory and IShowSpeed. Rey Mysterio entered the IC Ladder Match after telling Penta "let's make history."

What Else Happened on Raw?​

Vaquer attacked Liv Morgan backstage and slammed her onto the TV screen, destroying the Judgment Day's setup. Dominik Mysterio attacked Finn Balor before his match and hit him with the AAA Mega Title.


Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi had a contract signing that turned into a brawl, finally giving their WrestleMania match some real heat.


Jade Cargill broke a kendo stick over IYO SKY after their tag match. Paul Heyman told Gunther "thank you" for attacking Seth Rollins, and Gunther responded that Heyman owes him far more than just gratitude.

Where Does the Full WrestleMania 42 Card Stand?​

With more than 14 matches, we're already looking at having long premium live events on Saturday and Sunday. I don't hate that, but I can't imagine having any more matches added. Look for Carmelo Hayes to be plugged into the US title match. Maybe we see Giulia vs. Tiffany Stratton, but maybe not.
