All Women's Super League clubs can offer alcohol to supporters in the stands from the start of next season.

A rule preventing the consumption of alcohol in view of the pitch has been removed by the league's governing company, WSL Football.

It follows two seasons of successful alcohol trials in the WSL and WSL 2 and received the shareholders' approval.

During the 2025-26 season, 20 clubs took part in the trials at 29 venues and across 190 fixtures in England's top two tiers.

Clubs do not need to supply alcohol if they do not want to and can choose whether to provide it at some of their playing venues and not at others.

Everton and promoted Charlton Athletic confirmed on Monday they would continue to supply alcohol at games.

The Sporting Events Control of Alcohol Act prevents drinking alcohol at men's football matches in the UK.
