Due to impending weather, the 2026 WPIAL high school track and field championships have been postponed on Wednesday, May 13, the WPIAL announced.
The meet will now be moved to Thursday, May 14, with events starting at 11 a.m.
Earlier this week, the WPIAL was in contact with the National Weather Service regarding the potential of inclement weather that would affect this week’s championships.

With the high percentage chance of rain and the possibility of a thunderstorm, the league’s office chose to push back the meet to Thursday, where the threat of weather is less likely.
The schedule of events remains the same, with preliminary heats for track events beginning at 11 a.m.
