sheesh. I just watched the Liberty Valance show. Jimmy Stewart is miscast so John Wayne acts circles around him. Lee Marvin is excellent as is most of the supporting cast.

Ha! I didnt even know who was in that movie. Most of these movies, I only know of because of pop-culture references and such. It will be nice to scratch them off my IMDB Top 250.

I have been on a John Ford kick lately. Liberty is worth watching for John Wayne and Lee Marvin. The Searchers is a great movie as well.

TCM does this every single February.

Great, great lineup, and they don't just show the Best Picture noms, they'll do some of the obscure ones like Best Costume or Best Editing.
