It is hilarious how many people just Diss the Cards. Jackson who I cant stand any more constantly picks against us. WHat is his deal? Did the Cards like tell him they were going to draft him and then said forget you??

Any way how do the Rams beat us? I mean I know any given Sunday. But the Rams have won like 3 games in 2 years(approx guess off the top of my head) But our defense should eat up Bradford. Bradford will be good but he will get everything thrown at him and he will buckle at times.

The Cards are more talented than the Rams even with our QB situation.

I think most of it comes from 2004-2006 when it seemed like people picked the Cards as their sleeper team every year only to have them end up 5-11.

But the Rams? They just don't have the firepower on paper so I can't see picking against the Cards.

Portland Oregon these days.
Just watched Playbook. Sterling picked the Rams. BUT Theisman and Billick said to pick the Rams meant you had to believe their defense was going to start tackling. And neither of them could buy that.

Turnovers. That's the only way, honestly. If Anderson rifles a six-yard slant and it bounces off the hands of Early Doucet and into the arms of O.J. Atogwe, if James Laurinitis forces Tim Hightower to lose the handle (and we've seen it happen before, if Jake Long beats Levi Brown around the corner on one of his many early season lapses of concentration, we can lose this game. It has to happen more than once.

But Derek Anderson threw four picks in one HALF of play against the Ravens last year. It's possible.

I won't get into my predictions and all that, and not to dis the Rams, but I'll damned if we lose this game. I know they're much improved, and have a nice shiny new franchise qb, but we know the task at hand, and have our own agenda that starts Sunday. Those people are clowns.

Even that won't be enough. In 2003 the Cards had less talent on their roster than any Cardinal team in the last 45 years. They lost a game where they forced 5 turnovers and only gave up 2 and lost another where they forced 4 and only gave up 1.

We just have too much talent right now for the Rams to handle.

Good point about turnovers but I think you meant Chris Long.

In a sense, the story is less about: "which team on paper should win" and more about the identity of this Cardinal team = how does it play against teams it should beat?

This is why some of us are very very nervous.
