Would you trade for Kevin Thibodeaux or Dexter Lawrence?

A team for #DaBears to watch on the trade market - the New York Giants. It appears that they are listening to offers for DE Kavon Thibodeaux and DT Dexter Lawrence.

Not Thibedeaux, but I’d be real interested in Dexter Lawrence.

He has two years remaining on his current deal at $18 million per year.

Yeah he's a good run defender, only 28 and while not as good as peak Tomlinson he is younger and cheaper.

Interesting that Giants picked up Thibodeaux's 5th year option but are now looking at trade offers for him. Had a good first two years and then declined the last two (slightly better than Baron browning, who is cheaper). He'd be an intriguing option on a cheap contract, but I wouldn't call 1 year at ~$15M cheap.

It makes sense if you get him for a pick swap or a very low pick from a talent standpoint. I can't speak to his commitment to football.

lol huh?

I know he had a down year last season, but Dexter at his best is a lot better than peak Tomlinson.

Was just talking run defender. He's a better pass rusher.

The concern I would have with Lawrence is the injury he had this year, dislocated left elbow, was the exact same injury he had last year, which is probably why the Giants would be considering moving on from him.

Kayvon Thibodeaux, per sources, is a player the #Giants are listening to offers on and the belief from teams here at the combine is that he will eventually get dealt.

I do not get the same sentiment on Dexter Lawrence. This staff loves him & wants him.

ESPN sources: Giants All-Pro defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence has requested a trade and he will not be participating in the team’s off-season workout program that opens Tuesday.

Lawrence and the Giants have been through two off seasons attempting to negotiate a contract reflecting his value to the Giants over the last three years, but there has not been any progress, per sources.

Lossenfort could have had the best Giants defensive player, Brian Burns if he would have given up a 2nd round pick a couple years ago. Instead, we have Beej and Browning and are looking at using the #3 pick on an edge rusher. Monti is great!!!!!
