My husband is a huge Superman fan, and if we ever had a son, he would love to name him Kalil--we all have dreams that go unrealized...

If I have a boy, I want to name him "Drago" after the guy in Rocky IV. My wife says no, but at least it's better than "Clubber Lang" from Rocky III.

I want to name my dog Quarto, so when he goes on the rug, I can yell, "Bad Quarto, bad Quarto! Why didn't you use the Foul Papers!?"

If you get that, you're as big a nerd as I. :D

I want to find a hot wife, procreate and talk her into naming our daughter Mia after Uma Thurman's character in 'Pulp Fiction'. If it is a boy, I will just buy him a "Bad Muthaf*&%a" wallet.

Yeah.... If I start a family again at my advanced age, I'll be sure to name them Dweezel and Moon Unit....... Ok, so they are not movie characters.... So I'll name them Shrek and Donkey.

(of course, my wife would find this interesting as she no longer has the necessary plumbing for such an effort...... Adopt, maybe??? :confused: )

To answer the real question, No I wouldn't.

My kids will be Fox and Dana.

And the good thing is, you can use them regardless of what sex they turn out to be!

Edited to remove long signature to stay on joe's good side :)

what he said.

And to further show my geekhood, I'll even correct my own earlier post to show you that "Kal-El" is hyphenated.

One of the names that we have on the short list for our boy due in Sept is "Calvin." One of the things that I haven't shared with my wife is that when you shorten it to Cal it's for all intents and purposes the same as "Kal."

If wifey and I have another kid, I'm gonna name me kid after an ASFNer.

So far, if it's:

a girl = assface;

a dude = djaughe

IMO, I think it's fine to name pets after fictional characters. But kids? I mean, how many Dylan's are running around right now between the ages of 6 and 16? :90210:
