Detroit — That was a long day at the ballpark.
And, for the Tigers, it was worth the wait.

Riley Greene hit a two-run single to tie the game with two outs in the ninth inning, and Colt Keith followed with the winning single as the Tigers rallied past the Kansas City Royals, 10-9, on Thursday afternoon at Comerica Park.
It was the Tigers' sixth win in a row, and they are back over .500 at 10-9.

The Tigers blew a 6-1 lead, and trailed, 9-7, entering the bottom of the ninth inning on a day when there were two lengthy rain delays and even an umpire delay, when plate ump Andy Fletcher had to leave due to an apparent illness.
The Tigers were 6-0 on the home stand, and now head to Boston for a four-game series at Fenway Park.
