Hey guys man this loss just makes me feel so numb... You want to bet anyother team would have been able to hold a 14 point with 4 min to go for crying out loud :( ugh just so painful to watch. I don't know this might beat the bear loss we had with Leinart but just a horrible loss.
Also Whiz just ticks me off why in overtime do you come and throw the dang ball 3 straight times, when we have one of the worst qb's in the league hands down, well I am just really upset and in kind of a bad mood time for a few beers.

Definitely ranks pretty high up there on my list of disappointing losses.

it's just so stupid the way whiz called the plays in ot, I mean 3 straight passes we don't run once... I just don't understand it when we have beanie and hightower but whatever whiz.

this was the Bears loss ugly fraternal twin

against the Bears, the Cardinals kicked the Bears up and down the field -- but the Bears score three return tds late to win

against the Vikes, they moved up and down the field but it was the Cards who had two return TDs

Not close to the Bears game. Not even as close as that game at home against St. Louis where we recovered a fumble, then Warner fumbled (on the very next play?) and they kicked a field goal to win.

I agree and I will tell you why. this game MEANT a whole lot more. The Bears game we were like 1-4 or something..The Seahawks were 3 games ahead of us already that year.
So other than bragging at the water cooler it didnt mean much...The Bears went to the SUperBowl that year too and were like 5-0 coming in.

So losing to a great team no matter how we did it doesn't equate to losing to a team that was screaming FIRE CHilli and Favre limping around the field. The man laid in fetal position in a cart LAST WEEK after getting hit in the jaw. They had 4 minutes left and the game meant 1st place and respect that the Cards are back sort of..... The Bears game would be forgotten if it were not for Denny Green's tirade. WE expected it much more during the Bears game..this time...I thought we had gotten over the same Ol Cards.

In fact..If we win the last 2 melt down games...We would be 5-3 and looking like a legit threat in the NFC. I mean with our schedule we can still muster 8 wins this year. Add the last 2 games..and It would have been a small miracle to most to win 10 games!!!

Not be over dramatic or any thing but the bears game was like getting your finger sawed off, it took a while. The Vikings game was more of a quick CHOP! But I agree with the point about this game being the more important to us.

You're right. Those two losses hit me much harder in the gut. Of course, I was there in person and had witness first hand the joy of the opponent's fans.

Just bringing up that Rams game gives me a flashback. We had the ball on the 18 yard line, directly in front of me. I sit in the 8th row. You couldn't get a clearer view of that fumble besides being down on the field. The Rams didn't kick a FG to win. We were in position to kick a FG to win when we fumbled it. We had burned our timeouts to stop the Rams, and by a miracle, they fumbled at our 30. James gained 12 yards, and we had first and 10 inside the 20 at the two minute warning. First play, we called a run and the pulling guard knocked the ball out of Warner's hands and he fumbled. After the game, most criticism was about why we even tried to run. That we should've just taken a knee three times and then kicked.

I've seen many a Big Red meltdown over my 40 year history with these guys, but this one isn't close to the Bears debacle!!! Not even close!!! Yesterdays blown lead doesn't even stack up to the one in 2007 against the Niners at the UoP when Warner threw for nearly 500 yds & 4 TDs & Rackers shanked 2 FGs & then it suddenly ended in our endzone on a sack-fumble-TD.

Agreed, Bears choke is number one. Another one worse than Sunday's collapse is the Niner game in Candlestick while Denny was coach; had a 16 point 4th quarter lead and lost that one.

The bears game was on national TV, monday night, Leinart's first start, dominating the "best team in the NFL", charles barkley in the pressbox badmouthing the team at halftime, denny green and his hot dog back of the head fuming. That night was epic. Sunday was just pathetic. There is a difference.

The Bears game was harder.

1. I was at the Bears game.
2. I was surrounded by Bears fans
3. I was told for the first hour I was there how bad we were and how great they were.
4. I had to hear them swearing and insulting us for the entire 4th quarter while I watched the collapse
5. Rackers missed the easy field goal that would have shut them up.

MNM we had a legitimate franchise rookie QB, with future and hope, now well were 3-5 fighting for 1st place in the NFCW next Sunday. and haven't a snowballs chance in Glendale.

It has to be a home-loss to really, really, leave a mark. That recent Bucks' game, that hurt worse that the Minny loss.

Loosing on Monday Night, at home, leaves marks.

Because we were getting completely blown up at the LOS for the last 10 minutes. Quick passes to try to beat the inflooding wave of defenders wasn't a totally bad idea, it's just the execution was flawed and the defense was ready for it.

Fitz was open on the first pass but, of course, DA missed him badly. Complete that one, and the outcome could very well have been different. Then on the next two plays, you had a totally jacked up d-line smelling blood in the water.

And of course you fail to mention everything that happened between then and now ie. playoffs, division championships, Super Bowl appearance.

It is similar to the Bears game in the amount of national attention it has generated.

The Vikings team in total disarray etc. etc. and Magic Brett brings them back down 14 with 4 minutes left. All day long. Radio and TV. Every time I saw a Television there was the end of the Cardinal game.

Of course not one mention of Arizona. We are again once again rendered irrelevant.

Yeah, what little media I couldn't manage to avoid this week, I felt the Cards may as well have been the Washington Generals(of Harlem Globetrotters fame), just a patsy for the legend that is Brett Favre.
