World Cup final public transit will start earlier for closing ceremony

With the final for the 2026 FIFA World Cup set to be played on Sunday, July 19 at MetLife Stadium, the international soccer organization announced a few more festivities to mark the occasion.

Gates will open at 11 a.m. and the transportation options have been adjusted accordingly.

When will train and bus service to the FIFA World Cup final start?​

NJ Transit confirmed train service will begin at 10:30 a.m., half an hour earlier than prior matches.

Natalie Hamilton, a spokesperson for the region host committee, said their shuttle buses will run from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Who's appearing in FIFA World Cup closing ceremony?​

A closing ceremony featuring Laura Pausini, Nicole Scherzinger, Robbie Williams and IShowSpeed, as well as a special appearance by Tom Cruise will start at 1:30 p.m., ahead of the 3 p.m. match kickoff time.

Grammy winner Jennifer Hudson was also be on hand to sing “The Star Spangled Banner” ahead of match.
