Hey, Chicago! :moon:

Third largest city... Home of the US Soccer Federation... great venue for US soccer in the past...

When did Chicago turn into Detroit?

If Leeds gets the nod (which it bloody well should) they'll up the capacity and hopefully re-do the decrepid West Stand. Here's hoping anyway. I see Plymouth and MK getting the boot next time around. Bristol will be the city for the West Country and MK has no history at all. I also don't think they'll pick Sunderland and Newcastle so that will be interesting.

^ What an atrocious logo :(

But England will likely get the cup. Since '14 is in Brazil, i really doubt they skip a Euro country 3 WCs straight. Oh well, i guess we can hope for '22

Really surprised Indy & Nashville got it before Chicago. Hopefully it works out for us in 2018...2022 seems so long away, heck I turn 50 that year.

University of Phoenix stadium--roof closed.

to play a World Cup match in a Dome??? That would be horrible... maybe we can have all the cities play on plastic pitches as well:)

I agree I think England gets 2018 and hopefully we will get 2022... we will see...

On real grass, in the best stadium in the country, if not the world.

Hey, I didn't make the decision to have Phoenix as a world cup city. I'm just pointing out really the only way to have games there in the middle of the summer.

They played in the Silverdome in 94 and Sapporo Dome in 02, so its not like it'll be the first time its happened.
