The Women’s College World Series is here, as the final eight teams head to Oklahoma City to battle to become the 2026 national champion. The regional and super regional rounds saw some exciting matchups and some surprises, as No. 1-seeded Oklahoma missed out on its 10th straight WCWS berth at the hands of No. 5 underdog Mississippi State.

Reigning champion Texas is back, as is last year’s runner-up Texas Tech, seeking redemption. Arkansas is in its first WCWS in program history after sweeping the NCAA tournament competition. Nebraska, Alabama and UCLA round out the field.

Who won the title last year?

Texas beat Texas Tech in last year’s championship finals for the Longhorns’ first title in program history. Both teams are back in this year’s WCWS. Oklahoma, which won four straight titles from 2021 to 2024, was bounced from the super regionals this year.
