Has Mississippi State softball ever made Women's College World Series?

Mississippi State softball needs one more win to make it to the Women's College World Series for the first time.

The Bulldogs (42-19) lost Game 2 to No. 3 seed Oklahoma (52-9) 7-1 a day after they came back to beat the Sooners 11-9 in Game 1 in Norman.

The final game in the best-of-three series is May 24 (1:30 p.m. CT, ESPN) at Love's Field.

If the Bulldogs win, they'll be headed to Oklahoma City for the WCWS, which begins May 28. Alabama, Arkansas, Nebraska, UCLA and Tennessee have clinched spots in the Women's College World Series.

Two other series are having Game 3 on May 24 - Florida vs Texas Tech and Texas vs Arizona State.

The Mississippi State vs Oklahoma winner will play the Florida vs Texas Tech winner in the first round of the WCWS.

When is the Women's College World Series?​

The Women's College World Series runs from May 28 to June 5. The best-of-three championship series begins June 3.

Where is the Women's College World Series?​

The Women's College World Series is played at Devon Park in Oklahoma City.

How many teams make the WCWS?​

Eight teams will play in the Women's College World Series.
