I try to keep my expectations in check. I remember too many times in the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s when I was convinced we were ready to compete for a championship & we would be a major disappointment. Warner’s retirement slammed the window on a nice run & we had a nice run under BA until that damn window slammed down on our throats again. With Murray, we should have at least a decade of great football. Just not sure if we’re there just yet. We’re getting closer though!

The problem is the index has exceeded the forecast the last 2 days. They cancel based on forecast but if they get to game time and it's over 200 it's entirely possible they will postpone.

It looks better here now so I'm hopeful but the air is still bad

The official AQI is 170. It was stable all day yesterday. No reason to think it's going to rise 30+.

Plus the Niners have consistently said it's lower at the stadium than the index says. On Friday AirNow at 212 but the Niners said below 200 at the Stadium.

Looks like the game will be on.

I am an hour from Santa Clara and we are at 205 right now.... was at 180 a couple hours ago

Interested to see how the Cards handle the weight of expectations this year.

Last year coming off a No 1 pick season almost anything would have been an improvement. Zero expectations. Rookie coach, rookie QB.

Bad game last year... well it's to be expected. Things won't happen overnight.

Now they've banked a year, added D Hop. Widely regarded as a likely improver.

Pass mark has gone up.

At the same time a lot of people aren't expecting much from them as they are in such a tough division. I think that might take off some of the pressure that comes with beginning a 2nd season.
