positional poll - prediction poll - i don't think any of the positions listed fall in the absurdity category - i didn't list the pick # in case we trade up or down but we're talking our first pick

Great Question.

I think it comes down to the following positions:

Edge
DT
OT
WR

However I picked Edge as the Cardinal first pick. I'm leaning toward the Cardinals moving back to acquire additional picks and selecting someone like Nic Scourton in the later part of the first round.

I’ll do a wrap up of the 1st off-season wave in a couple of days.will go into my reasoning there.

Only options IMO are OL, DT, Edge or CB. In that order

16 votes for defense - 19 for offense

15 votes for edge/de - 15 votes for ot/og

as always asfn is split but it's an even split - and even then both sides have our first pick in the "trenches"

If you build a team with the draft then you have to select an OT. Rt on this team is a combo of an injury prone Williams and an overage Beachum. There is no future here, so solidifying this spot seems to make the most sense. I think they are okay with what they have along the Dline as of now.

Your premise here is that the players are on the same level of quality as prospects. Reaching for the 5th best OT over the best Edge, for example, would be dumb de dumb dumb DUMB! Also, QB would easily rank higher than OT. I get what you're trying to say here, about our pick, but I cannot agree with the faulty premise.

Not at 16. Not at 16. I've decided to add that to my list of positions I won't be happy about.

I think the pick is going to be Harmon or Simmons - and I am not excited about either one.

I have been thinking OG...folks been pimping tackles to us but our immediate need is guard and there are a couple guys who are rated with first round value.

Im tossed up on Harmon...dude was a consensus second round pick until right before the combine when the prospects started getting over analyzed. I would be happy with him at 48 but no way at 16...I kinda see him as a top 40 guy...just not a top 25 guy

Booker or Simmons. Is taking a guard at 16 to high, or is taking Simmons with past injury to risky at 16?
