After previously having a top ten, the Wisconsin Badgers cracked the top four for three-star offensive tackle Reed Gerken.

"Thank you Jesus!!! And then there were 4," Gerken wrote.

The four schools in the running for the 6-foot-5, 290-pound Ohio native include: Illinois, Virginia Tech, Kentucky, and Wisconsin.

With only two Big Ten schools in the running, the chances of the Badgers running into Gerken, should he not choose Wisconsin, aren't too high.

Currently, Gerken is listed as one of the top three offensive tackle in his home state of Ohio, according to 247Sports Riley Alberts.

Wisconsin has long been in the running for the Perrysburg High Schooler, though 247Sports has logged an expert prediction he'll choose Kentucky.

At the end of the day, nothing is settled until Gerken reveals the decision himself. Seeing as the Badgers made his top ten back in February, this isn't a battle they're going to give up on at this point in time.

Remember, Wisconsin was the first visit on a busy spring schedule for Gerken that included the likes of Michigan State, Tennessee, North Carolina, NC State, Cincinnati, and Ohio State. Beating out those schools is an accomplishment in and of itself, but now it's time for Luke Fickell and company to get the job done.
