Wisconsin men’s basketball appears to have its first transfer portal addition in 2026.
George Washington transfer Trey Autry has signed with the Badgers, according to reports from CBS Sports, 247Sports and On3. The team has not yet confirmed the signing.
Autry, a 6-foot-4 guard, will have one season of eligibility remaining. He most recently averaged a career-high 11 points and 1.5 assists while shooting 43.5% from the field and 38.5% from 3-point range.
Autry, the son of former Syracuse coach Adrian Autry, was a three-star recruit who chose the Colonials over scholarship offers from Rhode Island, Maryland, Nebraska, Cincinnati and others.
Autry is UW's first portal addition and second overall addition since the end of the 2025-26 season. UW also picked up a commitment from Australian point guard Owen Foxwell, who was previously committed to LSU prior to its coaching change.
The Badgers still have five roster spots to fill ahead of the 2026-27 season. Autry joins a backcourt that has lost all three starting guards from the 2025-26 team. (Nick Boyd and Andrew Rohde were in their last seasons of eligibility, and John Blackwell entered the transfer portal.)
Boyd gave an early endorsement of the newest Badger, commenting on an Instagram post that “he’s the goods!!!”
