Wings' star rookie Azzi Fudd to participate in WNBA's 3-point contest

The WNBA announced its participants for the 2026 WNBA 3-point contest on Tuesday with Wings' rookie guard Azzi Fudd selected to compete.

The Wings already have two players set to start the All-Star Game — Paige Bueckers and Jessica Shepard — and now their 2026 top overall pick, Fudd, will participate in the All-Star festivities as well.

The 3-point contest will be broadcast from Wintrust Arena in Chicago on Friday at 7 p.m. and can be viewed on ESPN, Disney+ and the ESPN app. The All-Star Game will be played on Saturday at the United Center in Chicago at 7:30 p.m.

Fudd, the No. 1 overall pick in this past April’s WNBA Draft, will be the only rookie competing on Friday night. The guard currently ranks 10th in the WNBA with 50 made 3-pointers this season, most among all rookies. Fudd set the Wings rookie record for most 3-point field goals in a single game (6) at New York on May 24.

Fudd becomes the first Wings player to participate in an All-Star skills event since Arike Ogunbowale competed in the 3-point contest in 2023. She tied for runner-up.
