Paige Bueckers is many things. The Dallas Wings' star point guard is a born winner, a leader, a hardwood assassin with a lethal mid-range jump shot.
But early in the 2026 WNBA season, Bueckers is on course for one of the most efficient offensive seasons in league history.

Through five games, Bueckers is averaging 20.8 points per game while shooting 57.6 percent from the field. But what's really elevating Bueckers to another plane of offensive existence is her three-point shooting.
If the season ended today, Bueckers would set a new league record for 3-point success. She has converted on 57.9 percent of her 3-point attempts, which would shatter a 14-year-old mark set by Temeka Johnson.
If she raises her free-throw percentage (currently 81 percent) a bit, Bueckers could join Napheesa Collier and Elena Delle Donne as the only players in league history with a 50-40-90 season under their belt. That would put Bueckers in MVP conversations in just her second season in The W.
Bueckers is melding accuracy with volume under new head coach Jose Fernandez, who has guided the Wings to a 3-2 start in 2026. She'll look to guide Dallas to its third successive win when the Wings visit the Atlanta Dream on Friday night.
