The Oklahoma City Thunder are known for the tremendous depth general manager Sam Presti has built over the years. It's now being tested.

Ajay Mitchell, a key Thunder reserve, will miss Game 7 with a right calf strain. The injury occurred during Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals and he hasn't played since. He doesn't appear to have a timetable to return.

While OKC will miss Mitchell, he isn't the biggest absence the team is facing with a hungry San Antonio Spurs squad awaiting tonight. Jalen Williams, a third-team All-NBA selection a season ago, is also out. J-Dub is dealing with a hamstring strain he tried to play through in Game 6 without much success.

The injuries put more on the plate of two-time MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who struggled mightily in a 118-91 loss in Game 6.

As for Mitchell, it's unfortunate timing for a player who ascended into one of Mark Daigneault's trusted role players in his second NBA season. He doubled his scoring and assist averages in Year 2 and started 16 games after only making one start as a rookie.

Mitchell and Williams will watch from the bench as the Thunder fight to keep their championship repeat hopes alive tonight.
