Rashid Shaheed will have a full season to produce for the Seattle Seahawks next season, which begs to question just how good he will perform in 2026.
Shaheed was traded to the Seahawks midway through last season. He helped Seattle win the Super Bowl at the end of the 2025 season. Coming off of winning his first Vince Lombardi Trophy, Shaheed’s play will be vital toward the Seahawks’ efforts to strive for another Vince Lombardi Trophy in 2026.
According to ESPN’s Mike Clay in his 2026 NFL Projection Guide, Shaheed projects to record 41 receptions for 633 receiving yards and three REC touchdowns next season.
Shaheed registered 687 REC yards on 59 receptions in 2025. He added two REC TDs on the year. Shaheed played nine games for the New Orleans Saints prior to being traded to Seattle and playing another nine games for the Seahawks to conclude the season. Shaheed recorded 499 REC yards on 44 receptions in New Orleans compared to 188 REC yards on 15 receptions in Seattle.
Shaheed has the opportunity to establish himself as the Seahawks’ No. 2 option in the receiving game in 2026 ahead of Cooper Kupp. He will be behind the reigning 2025 AP NFL Offensive Player of the Year, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, in the Seahawks’ pecking order next season, which will influence the attention he receives in the offense in 2026.
