Rookie offensive lineman Josh Simmons has missed the Kansas City Chiefs' last few games due to a personal matter.

Will Simmons return to the Chiefs' starting lineup today to face the Denver Broncos in Week 11

Here's the latest update on Simmons' status:

Josh Simmons status update

Simmons was a full participant in all of Kansas City's practice sessions this week, but still appeared on the Chiefs' injury report with a NIR (non-injury related) designation.

How long will Josh Simmons be out?

While it is unclear if Simmons will resume his role as Kansas City's starting left tackle in Week 11, his participation in practice — and the fact that he did not receive an official game status designation — are indications that he should be available to take the field today. If he is held out of the Chiefs' matchup against Denver, it won't be because of a physical injury.

Chiefs OL depth chart

If Andy Reid decides to keep Simmons sidelined today, the Chiefs will need veteran offensive lineman Jaylon Moore to man the left tackle position in Week 11.
